
The passing of David Andrews on June 30th, 2026 has left a deep sadness in Dun Laoghaire and beyond. He died peacefully, surrounded by his devoted family in Co. Dublin. David was a beloved husband and proud father who will be remembered with great fondness by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Annette and their children David, Barry, Mary, Sinead, and Claire. David will be sadly missed by his sister Catherine, daughters-in-law Hannah and Sinead, son-in-law Cathal, and his cherished grandchildren Daniel, Jack, Jake, Hugh, Conn, Sophie, Kate, Eve, and Tom. He is also remembered by his sisters-in-law Angela, Bernadette, Clare, and Liz, brother-in-law Paddy, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and a wide circle of friends from Dublin to Baile na hAbhann, along with many colleagues in public life.
Funeral Details
David will repose at Fanagans Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown, A94 XK28 on Friday, July 3rd from 4pm to 6pm. His Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, July 4th at 10am in St. John the Baptist Church, Blackrock, followed by burial in Deans Grange Cemetery. The Mass can be viewed online for those unable to attend in person. Family flowers only, with donations in lieu to the Irish Red Cross welcomed.

David’s life touched many people across different communities, and the love he shared with his family remains a source of comfort in their grief. His memory will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.
