The passing of Gerry Horan, Rockfield Park, Rahoon, Galway, and formerly of Bohermore and The Claddagh, has left an indelible mark on the lives of his loved ones. Gerry’s brave battle with illness came to a peaceful end in The Galway Hospice, surrounded by his family.
Predeceased by his parents Jimmy Snr. and Teresa, and his brothers Liam and Jimmy, Gerry’s memory will be cherished by his beloved wife Barbara, son Ruairí, daughter Gráinne, grandsons Luke and Radha, granddaughter Éireann, brothers Owen, Kenneth, and Trevor, son-in-law Richard, daughter-in-law Marina, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and his many friends.
Gerry’s life was a testament to his kind and gentle soul. His love for his family, his community, and his heritage was evident in everything he did. As we bid our final farewell to Gerry, we take comfort in the knowledge that his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.
Funeral Details of Gerry Horan
Reposing in Irwin’s Funeral Home, Bóthar Irwin (H91 CK84) on Tuesday, January 21st, from 5:00 pm, with removal at 7:00 pm to St. Mary’s Church, The Claddagh. Gerry’s Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday, January 22nd, at 11:00 am, followed by a private cremation service.
