It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Hennessy (née Lynn), Howth, Dublin, and formerly of Analore, Monaghan. Dorothy departed this life peacefully on February 20th, 2025, in the tender care of her family and the staff of St. Francis Hospice, Raheny.
Dorothy was predeceased by her son Robert. Her passing leaves a great void in the lives of her loving husband Pat, daughters Ruth, Susan, and Sarah, sons John, Michael, Colm, and Brendan, sons-in-law Martin, Andrew, and Philip, daughters-in-law Siobhan and Elaine, her adored grandchildren Ella, Carla, Aoife, Julie, Lucy, and Ava, sister Imelda, brother Gerry, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and neighbours.
Dorothy’s family and friends will deeply miss her love, kindness, and generosity. Her legacy of devotion and care will continue to inspire and guide us.
Funeral Arrangement of Dorothy Hennessy (née Lynn)
Removal will take place to the Church of the Assumption, Howth, on Sunday for a service at 5 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 24th, at 10 am, followed by burial at Glasnevin Cemetery.
