It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael (Phil) Coyne, Letterbrickaun, Leenane, Galway. Michael departed this life peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on February 21st, 2025.

Michael was predeceased by his parents Pete (Phil) and Bridgie (née Coyne), and sisters Judy and Mary-Ann. His passing leaves a great void in the lives of his loving family, including his wife Margaret (née Coyne), son James, daughters Marie, Julie, Pauline, and Sarah, brother Phil, grandchildren Sophia, Maeve, Grace, Kiera, Molly, Maelys, and Walter, daughter-in-law Krista, sons-in-law Ken, Shane, Martin, and Frank, brother-in-law Kevin, sister-in-law Ann, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, and friends.
Michael’s family and friends will deeply miss his love, kindness, and generosity. His legacy of devotion and care will continue to inspire and guide us.
Funeral Arrangement of Michael (Phil) Coyne
Michael will rest in repose at his home on Sunday, February 23rd, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Removal will take place on Monday afternoon to St. Michael’s Church, Leenane, for a 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
