It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marie (Margaret) Melia (née Finnegan), River Valley, Swords, Dublin, and formerly of Donnycarney, Dublin. Marie departed this life peacefully on February 21st, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Beaumont Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Marie was the loving wife of Tony and devoted mother of Susan, Jean, Clare, Margaret, Trish, Debbie, Alison, and Tony. She will be sadly missed by her sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, seventeen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sister Ann, brothers Paul and Fran, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Marie’s family and friends will deeply miss her love, kindness, and generosity. Her legacy of devotion and care will continue to inspire and guide us.
Funeral Arrangement of Marie (Margaret) Melia (née Finnegan)
Reposing at Rock’s Funeral Home, Swords, on Monday, February 24th, from 4 pm to 5:30 pm. Removal on Tuesday, February 25th, morning to St. Finian’s Church, River Valley, Swords, arriving for 10 am Mass, followed by funeral to Dardistown Cemetery.
