It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Delaney (née Eccles), Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, and formerly of Pearse Road, Sligo Town, Sligo. Margaret departed this life peacefully and comfortably on February 22nd, 2025, at her home, after a long illness.

Margaret was the adored wife and best friend to her husband Jim (James) and devoted and loving mother to Séamus, Aisling, and Cillian. She was the much-loved daughter of her late parents Jim and Sadie Eccles, Sligo.
Margaret will be deeply missed by her loving family, son-in-law Dáire, Séamus’ partner Donna, Cillian’s partner Rung, her adored grandchildren Ollie, Rían, Éabha, and Emily, loving siblings Marie, Jim, Josephine, Sheila, Philomena, Martin, Geraldine, Eugene, and Bríd, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, ESB colleagues, neighbors, and close friends.
Margaret’s family and friends will deeply miss her love, kindness, and generosity. Her legacy of devotion and care will continue to inspire and guide us.
Funeral Arrangement of Margaret Delaney (née Eccles)
Reposing at her home on Wednesday evening, February 26th, between 5 pm and 7 pm. Removal on Thursday morning, February 27th, to St. Brigid’s Church, Blanchardstown, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in Mulhuddart Cemetery.

The family wish to express their deep-felt gratitude to the staff in Connolly Hospital, Holly Day Ward and Sycamore Ward, Blanchardstown Hospice, Carers at Comfort Keepers, and the Alzheimer’s Association for their exceptional care and support.
