It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Professor James G. Devlin, Clontarf, Dublin, and formerly of Wexford and Kerry. James completed his life’s journey on February 23rd, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Cecilia’s ward, Mater Hospital.

James was the beloved husband of the late Ann and was predeceased by his brother Jack, niece Mandy, and cousin Fergus.
James will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his daughter Nina, sons Joe, Cosmas, Michael, and Osmund, much-loved sister Maureen, cherished grandchildren Aidan, Ruth, Fionn, Ryan, and Leannán, son-in-law John, daughters-in-law Wini, Aneta, Lavinia, and Vee, niece Caroline, nephew John, brother-in-law Tony, Mary-Rose, extended family, friends, and neighbors.

Funeral Arrangement of Professor James G. Devlin
Reposing at his family home on Wednesday, February 26th, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday morning, February 27th, to the Church of St. Anthony’s, Clontarf, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 am, followed by burial in Fingal Cemetery.
The Funeral Mass will be streamed live on Thursday morning, February 27th, at 11 am via the provided link.
