It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carmel Finnerty (née Burns), “Inisfree”, Grange, Corrandulla, Galway, and formerly of Maugherow, Co. Sligo. Carmel departed this life peacefully at Galway Hospice, surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, gentleness, and devotion that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Carmel was pre-deceased by her parents Michael and Bridget, her brother Pat, and her sister Maura. Her passing leaves a great void in the lives of her heartbroken family, including her husband John, son Ian, daughter-in-law Amy, her adored grandchildren Rayanne and Ross, her step-daughters Collette and Katrina, and their extended families.
Carmel’s family and friends will deeply miss her kind and gentle soul. Her legacy of love, care, and compassion will continue to inspire and guide us.
