It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Imelda Smyth (née Hynes), Creig An Chéirín, Inis Mor, Aran Islands, Galway. Imelda departed this life peacefully on Friday, February 28th, 2025, in her home after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Imelda was predeceased by her parents Patrick (Kilconnell) and Christina (Roscrea), and her sisters Rosaleen, Anne, Evelyn, and Margaret. She will be deeply mourned by her loving husband Brendan, sons Enda and Ronan, sister Teresa, grandchildren Conor, Rosemary, Daniel, Jenna, and Sam, daughters-in-law Mary and Liza, brothers-in-law Fergal and Finn, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Imelda will be fondly remembered by her many friends and neighbors.

Funeral Arrangement of Imelda Smyth (née Hynes)
Reposing at her home on Saturday, March 1st, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Arriving on Sunday at The Church of St. Brigid and St. Oliver Plunkett, Kilronan, for Requiem Mass at 2:30 pm. Burial after in Reilig an Cnoc Cemetery, Kilmurvey.
