It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James (Jim) Byrne, formerly of St. Fiacc’s Terrace, Graiguecullen, Carlow, Wilton, Cork, and Ballydavid, Kerry. Jim departed this life peacefully in St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, on Friday, February 21st, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jim was the beloved husband of Máire, dear father of Aisling, Fiona, Ronan, and predeceased by Fiach and baby Cian. He will be sadly missed by his sons-in-law Seán and Peter, daughters-in-law Caitríona and Brenda, and grandchildren Richeal, Seán, Rúadhán, Fionán, Clara, Cian, Ava, Meadhbh, Hannah, and Odhran.

Jim was a cherished brother of Kitty, Angela, and predeceased by Marie, Joan, Margaret, Bonny, Betty, and Jack. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends.

Funeral Arrangement of James (Jim) Byrne

Reposing at Carpenter Bros. Funeral Home, Graiguecullen, on Monday, February 24th, 2025, from 4 pm, concluding with prayers at 7 pm. Removal from there on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025, at 10:30 am to St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, arriving for funeral mass at 11 am. Burial will take place afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.
