It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Killilea, Shanbally, Corrandulla, Galway. John departed this life peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a brave battle with illness.
John was predeceased by his loving daughter Sienna, his father Frank, his sister Jacinta, his brother-in-law Kevin Small, and his nephew Dylan Small.
John’s family and friends will deeply miss his kind and gentle soul. He will be very sadly missed by his heartbroken family: his wife and soulmate Edel (née Small), his adored children Isabel, Frank, and Seren, his mother Mary, his brothers Michael and Aidan, his sister Olivia, his brothers-in-law Marcus McGough and Vincent Small, his sisters-in-law Pauline and Clodagh, his mother and father-in-law Sheila and Tom Small, his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors, and a large circle of wonderful friends.
May John’s kind and gentle soul rest in peace.
Funeral Arrangement of John Killilea
Reposing at Corrandulla Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday, February 26th, from 4:30 pm until 7 pm. Removal from his home on Thursday morning, February 27th, at 10:15 am to St. Brendan’s Church, Corrandulla, for Requiem Mass at 11 am, burial afterwards in Annaghdown Cemetery.
