RIP Kerry: Leszek Jan Polesiak Obituary – Kenmare, Kerry

It is with great sadness that we remember Leszek Jan Polesiak, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, 4th July 2026, in the care of the nurses and staff at Kenmare Community Nursing Unit, surrounded by his heartbroken family. Leszek, of Dromneavane, Kenmare, Co. Kerry, and formerly of Pionki, Poland, brought warmth and dedication to those around him throughout his life.

A beloved husband and devoted father, Leszek leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory with deep affection. He was the cherished son of Janina and a loving brother. His presence enriched the lives of his children and grandchildren, creating bonds that will endure.

Leszek will be sadly missed and dearly loved by his wife Renata, his children Ilona, Adrian, Zaneta and Jakub, his mother Janina, his grandchildren Julian, Benjamin and Antos, his brother Kondrat, his sister Bozena, along with his nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends in the Kenmare community and beyond.

Funeral Details

Leszek will repose at O’Connor’s Funeral Home, Kenmare, on Monday evening, 6th July, from 6.00pm to 7.00pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday morning, 7th July, at 10.30am in Holy Cross Church, Kenmare, which will be live streamed for those unable to attend. This will be followed by private cremation at the Island Crematorium, Cork.

The family appreciates the support shown during this difficult time. Leszek’s passing reminds us of the quiet strength and love he shared with all who knew him.
