Death notice of Máire Burns (Killarney, Kerry)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Máire Burns, Upper Lewis Road, Killarney, Kerry. Máire departed this life peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family and dedicated carers, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Máire was the beloved daughter of the late William and Emily and sister of the late Billy and Sheila (Enright, Tralee). She will be sadly missed by her loving nieces Emily O’Keeffe (Killarney), Frances Enright (Reidy, Cork), and Miriam Houghton (Limerick) and their husbands John, Dermot, and John. Her grandnieces and grandnephews Laura and her husband Conor, Martin, Clodagh, Therese, Jonathan, Sinéad, Christine, and Rose, and her great-grandnephew Matthew, will also deeply miss her.

Máire’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her dedicated carers, particularly Loreta, who lived with her and provided loving care and support. Her kind neighbours and dear friends will also miss her dearly.

Funeral Arrangement

Reposing at O’Shea’s Funeral Home, Killarney, on Thursday evening from 5 pm to 6:30 pm, Máire’s remains will be removed to St. Mary’s Cathedral. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:30 am, followed by burial in Aghadoe Cemetery, Killarney.
