It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael “Skippy” O’Dowd, Clounsharragh, Cloghane, Kerry. Michael died peacefully on March 29th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his parents, Pat and Mary, Michael will be deeply missed by his dear children, Micheál and Chloe, their partners Laura and Leon, and his beloved grandchildren, Jayden, Oisin, Esme, Caoimhe, and Kai. He is also survived by his brothers John and Brendan, sisters Agnes, Maryellen, Christina, and Teresa, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, and many friends.
May Michael’s kind and gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing in Lynch’s Funeral Home, Castlegregory, on Monday evening, March 31st, from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Funeral cortège arriving at St. Brendan’s Church, Cloghane, on Tuesday, April 1st, at 11:30 am for Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon, followed by cremation in the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Cork, at 5:00 pm.
