Paul McGhee: A Life of Love, Kindness, and Devotion
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul McGhee, The Hill, Loughrea, Co. Galway, on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025. Paul departed this life peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion.
Predeceased by his father Arthur, mother Mary, brothers Johnny and Martin, and sisters Mary (Sheil) and Margaret (Lynch), Paul will be deeply missed by his children Paul, Rebecca, Melissa, Anthony, Shane, Sarah, son-in-law JP, grandchildren Leah, Anna, Chloe, Kanisha, Kailem, Alyssa, and Finn, brothers and sister Anthony, Eileen (McGowan), Gerry, Pa, and George, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and his many friends.
Paul’s family and friends will cherish the memories of his warm smile, his generous spirit, and his unwavering commitment to those he loved. His passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew him, but his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us.
Funeral Arrangement of Paul McGhee
Paul will lie in repose in Kilboy’s Funeral Home (H62 KF63) on from 5 pm to 7 pm, followed by removal to St. Brendan’s Cathedral, Loughrea. Paul’s Requiem Mass will take place in St. Brendan’s Cathedral, Loughrea, on Friday, January 24th, at 12:30 pm, followed by burial afterwards in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
