It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sr. Mary (Maura) Cullinane D.C., Daughter of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, and late of Gearagh, Kealkil, Bantry, Co. Cork. Sr. Maura departed this life peacefully on February 25th, 2025, in her 105th year, in the loving care of the Daughters of Charity staff and carers of Highfield Care Facility.
Sr. Maura was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Mary, her brothers Eddie, Dan, and Den, her sisters Kitty, Sheila, Nell, and Anne, her niece Patricia, her nephew Wayne, and her grandnephew Jason.
She will be deeply regretted by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, and her two great-great-grandnephews, her special friend Marie Byrne, the Community of the Daughters of Charity, extended family, relatives, and friends.
May Sr. Maura rest in peace.
Funeral Arrangement of Sr. Mary (Maura) Cullinane D.C
Reposing at St. Catherine’s Provincial House, Blackrock, from 3:30 pm on Thursday, February 27th, with prayers at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Catherine’s on Friday, February 28th, at 11 am, followed by burial at Glasnevin Cemetery.

A Mass for Sr. Maura will be held on Saturday, March 1st, at 12:00 noon in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kealkill, Bantry, Co. Cork.
