It is with deep sadness that we remember Thérèse (Theresa) McGlynn(née Dowling) who passed away peacefully on July 1st, 2026. Late of South Circular Road in Dublin 8 and also connected to Kilkenny City, Thérèse was surrounded by love in her final days, with her son Enda and daughter-in-law Vanessa by her side at the Meath Community Unit Nursing Home.
A cherished mum to Enda and a loving mother-in-law to Vanessa, Thérèse brought warmth and kindness to everyone who knew her. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Paddy and her brothers Sean, Tommy, Michael, and Kevin. She will be forever missed by her sister Maura, brother Joe, sister-in-law Bríd, her nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours, and many friends across Dublin and Kilkenny.
Funeral Details
Thérèse’s remains will repose at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, 113 Emmet Road, Inchicore, D08 P8X5 on Friday, July 3rd, from 5pm until 7pm. She will be removed on Saturday, July 4th to St. James’s Church, James’s Street, D08 X799 for Requiem Mass at 10am, followed by burial in Palmerstown Cemetery. Family flowers only, with donations in lieu to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Ireland warmly welcomed.
Those who knew Thérèse will remember a gentle soul who touched many lives with her quiet strength and caring nature. In these difficult days, her family holds close the precious memories they shared together.
